We had a great day yesterday and are truly enjoying our visit at our friends' home (pictured above). Dinner the night before at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club was very nice and I enjoyed getting a chance to lie in the sun reading a book. Last night we had 12 friends over for a dinner party: appetizers, shrimp and grits with sausage and lobster, and a wonderful coconut custard that the boyfriend whipped up. The signature drink was madras punch. The sunset was beautiful - especially knowing that it was snowing in Hampton Roads.
Today the plan calls for more enjoying the sun and a cruise on our hosts' beautiful boat. The photo below shows more of the party guests sitting on the back patio overlooking the pool and waterfront.
